Went to Yosemite on Sunday by myself and it was great, until I woke up Monday morning with mosquito bites all throughout my scalp, yuck!!
In front of Vernal Falls
On the Mist Trail (very very wet)
It is hard to imagine that it isn't a hollywood set, it is just too perfect
Top of Vernal Falls, massive amounts of water
Look to the left and see how tiny the people are...
Nevada Falls (look how little the people are on the left hand side are, again)
Typical on a trail in Yosemite
Nevada Falls (about 500 ft of falls)
Part of the John Muir Trail (had to go under a little waterfall)
View from JMT
Massive amounts of water, hard to photograph
The granite is just awe inspiring
Cute little squirrel
The captain of all captains...El Capitan
El Cap
There is a climber on that rock (that is about 500 ft. of solid granite)
Half Dome
They opened today 6/15/10
The Half Dome Cables are something to try at least once in your life
(this is not my picture, pulled it from the internet, but I did do it three years ago and it scared the beejeezuz out of me!!!!)
Way way way too much snow still....

gorgeous, I can almost smell the sierras just looking at those photos... Some of the most incredible mountains anywhere...

Brings back many memories of trips to Yosemite, Teri
ReplyDeleteStace, you take beautiful photos! What a gorgeous day for you as well. Bill and I camped in Yosemite last summer and did the cables to the tippy-top of Half Dome -- absolutely magnificent. Thanks for sharing. Laurie
