Soooo from scratch! (almost)

I had the day off from work today and decided to make a pumpkin pie...
from scratch!  My sister Nancy has been posting on facebook that she
enjoyed pumpkin pie and coffee for breakfast...yum!  From November
1st to the day before Christmas is my most favorite time of year...I love
everything fall and Thanksgiving.

Here is the recipe that I used (by the way...my sweet little sugar
pumpkin only produced 1 cup of pumpkin goodness).  I had to get a little
help from Libby's.  I also made the crust and pumpkin seeds from the
same recipe.

I even made some little muffin size cuties!

  1. Stacie, I remember those days in Mammoth where I would cook up a storm, have the fire place burning, the music playing, the windows slightly cracked and just enjoying myself completely! I love you sweet baby sister!

  4. Stacie, Miss Hullings (the best Restaurant in St. Louis ... way back .... and your mother worked there at age 14 or so) would only use "Old" pumpkin. It had to be canned over a year ago. Hey you could have used the pumpkin shells to serve your Butternut Squash Soup in.
I'm getting ready to make some forbidden food ... just back from a healthy check up.

  5. Great Job Stacie!! Yesterday, I made a Black Berry Pie!! I got the fresh black berries at Costco. I love this time of year too! I wish I lived closier I would be over right now having a piece of your Pumpkin Pie and a cup of coffee. I made a Pumpkin Cheesecake for a friend's Halloween party. It was good! Keep up the Baking!! Pumpkin Soup is good too!
    Cheers!
