Good friends and puppies!

Part of my therapy for my foot is to visit great friends!  This past
weekend, I took the train from San Juan Capistrano to Santa
Barbara to visit my friend Jill whom I work with in Mammoth.
Great times had by all!!
Jill, Andrea and Megan at Blue Agave in Santa Barbara

The following day after I arrived, it was decided that we were going to fly
Catalina Island for lunch...can you say decadent??  Jill has her pilot's
license and her great friend Andrea owns a flight school.

Her son Owen in the cockpit

Her daughter Skylar untying the plane.
Jill demonstrating how the seatbelts work.  She was playing around (that is not just a cheesy flight attendant smile) because we found an extra buckle.
This is Andrea on the phone discovering that not only was there severe turbulence forecasted, but the battery on her friend Brian's plane was dead......so......
We had lunch in Santa Barbara, but pretended we were in Catalina!
Jill's oldest daughter goes to the boarding school, Midland near Los Olivos.  Very cool place, very rustic and the kids have to do a lot, like build their own fires for their rooms and the showers, plant garden plots, etc.  It is right across the street from Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch

The boarding school girl, Tenaya
Tenaya's brother and sister were very happy to see her!
View from Tenaya's Room, gorgeous!
And introducing....Charlie!  My parents new little pound pup.  He is 1 1/2 years old and soooo cute!

  1. Charlie came to play with his cousin Sophie yesterday. They had a blast chasing each other, romping around and playing. They finally quieted down and both fell fast asleep until GRANDPA walked into the house ~ then everyone was happy and ready to play again!
