My Own Backyard

Yesterday, I went on a hike in Lundy Canyon with my friend Doug.  
Lundy is usually reserved for a hike during the fall because of all 
of the aspens.  Well, the flowers and waterfalls were amazing!!




I had heard rumor that some of the larkspurs were 6' tall, well, my friend doug is 6'6"...check out the purple flower next to him!






Beaver Pond





Saw my first bear while hiking...he was about 100 ft. away.  I thought it was a log, but then I saw his ears.




Rolled up aspen leaf....why?

    such beautiful pics! i'm jealous, but not, but am, about the bear. aspen leaf for a caterpillar? i dunno, but i remember seeing aspens like that growing up. love, court
