I know that most of you know what I'm talking about....

This puppy! Today marks 8 months from when I had my
ankle injury. I go to the doctor today to hopefully
get news that I can walk without crutches and maybe
go back to work soon = living a normal life. Please send me
good thoughts, prayers, vibes, whatever you believe to
be positive goodness!!! |

In the meantime, I will bake cookies until my appointment. Yes, those are
classic Nestle Toll House. I'm a Toll House Girl. Why not individual
cookies you ask? Well...I could say...I'm totally eco-friendly and
it cuts down on energy cost, only 17 minutes as opposed to about 5 x 11
minutes. I could say....I'm lazy and only want to get up fro the couch
once (partially true). But the truth is, this is how my mom used to do it;
therefore, tradition wins. This reminds me of a story Dr. Pace at USD told
us once. His wife made a pot roast, but cut the end off before she put it
in the pan. Roger (I can say that because he is not my professor
anymore), asked why she did that she replied with, "Well, my mother did
it and her mother did it." After some genealogical investigation, they
realized one of the grandmothers down the line did it because her pot
wasn't big enough to fit a whole roast! |

I also am on my second cup of this goodness. I'm hoping to
experience the real Nepalese Chai sometime in the next year. The
Anapurna Circuit is calling my name. |

I will also spend some time working on this little ditty. I couldn't get the camera to do what I wanted so you could experience the colors like I can. This yarn...malabrigo...is just so flippin YUMMY!!!!!
Alright, 1 hour 15 to go until I go to the doctor....I'm nervous!! |
OK.......may I have that scarf for my Easter present this year? Beautiful, even if these colors are dull, it is exquisite.
ReplyDeleteI will keep your little piggys in my prayers.
FYI, I have been out of my boot now since the middle of December and I am still having difficulty walking comfortably and am still very sensitive on what shoes I can wear and which ones cause incredible discomfort.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers....be kind, be patient, the body will heal, in its own time..
love,
me
Ok me, since when do we exchange easter presents?? How about a chocolate bunny? Thanks for the prayers. I think I have been pretty patient with this foot thing. I'm sorry yours still hurts, I have heard foot injuries can take up to a year before they feel normal.
ReplyDeleteUm, why didn't you bake when you were at my house? hmmmm...? ;)
ReplyDeleteI am VERY happy you're out of that boot and off those crutches! Oh happy day!
