My Creative Ego

Or should I say...my ego got a creative boost, or my creativity got an ego boost!
Anyway, I had breakfast at my friend Rachael's house on Sunday morning and I have to give her a huge pat on the back first.  Rachael doesn't just cook.  She explodes creatively in the kitchen and makes it look effortless.  We had fruit, rosemary baby potatoes, and her version of eggs benedict...yummy toasted bread, herbed goat cheese, avocado and a poached egg on top, yummy!  BUT, the beginning of the breakfast was the best for my ego, sorry Rach, it's all about me now.  She served yummy coffee with rice milk and agave syrup in these mugs....
I made these mugs and the best part is that Rachael still uses them!  The one
on the right was made in 1993 and the other one was made a little
bit later.  I just love when people still use my stuff!

I had a friend once tell me that she almost let a toaster drop on her kids
head in order to save one of my ceramic pieces I had gifted her.  Last year
I went to see a band that I used to watch all of the time in college,
Common Sense, and the bass players wife told me that her 15 year old
daughter still eats cereal out of the ceramic bowls I had given to Larry.
Awwww, warms my heart and great for the soul.

My niece Jaime turns 22 on April 2nd.  She requested a
scarf and she got one!

This is the pattern, super simple, got it from www.interweave.com  Love that site.

The yarn is my new favorite!  Of course, I went into the yarn store looking for some cheap washable yarn, and
$75 later, I had six balls of this and a new love for wanting to have my own yarn store someday.

I also got Jaime these earrings.  My friend Rachael made them and Jaime really liked them!
Creativity abound!  Isn't Jaime's hair pretty...she cuts hair and colors if you want to make an
appointment, let me know!

I finally finished this scarf and I have to say that although it turned out, the pattern sucked.
It was a Lion Brand Yarn pattern and it was not memorizable! word!  Therefore, a constant
looking at my pattern prompted me to quickly throw the pattern away the second I finished
the last stitch!  But, I like how it turned out, kinda hard to see the pattern in this picture.
Jeanine, you better wear this #$&%^#* thing!!

  1. Stacie, before I read that you had made the cups, I showed the picture to Bill and commented on how cool they were, especially the one that looks like hot chocolate is spilling down the sides. Even cooler that you made them. You have all kinds of talent, woman!! Laurie
