Grand Prix 2011

Last year, Mammoth hosted the pre-qualifications for snowboarding in the Olympics.  This year, they hosted another Grand Prix for snowboarding.  I definitely wanted to see it, but knew I wasn't going to have the ability to hike the hill and stand on the side lines, so these are taken from a little ways away.  Kelly Clark, Louie Vito, Gretchen Bleiler, and Greg Bretz were among the competitors today.

Something to do to pass the time while I wait for two of my nursing school buddies to arrive in Mammoth, yahoo!!!!

OK, enough living in the past...this is from today...
Mammoth's Super Duper Pipe.  They have really beefed up all of the parks
at Mammoth and it has become a great place for competitions

Meanwhile, these guys were flying off some of the jumps while we were waiting for the halfpipe to start.

This is my artsy picture.  I put my camera up to my binocular's lens and took a picture...looks like a mayhem of gondolas.  I love this!

    I thought you liked down hill skiing I guess that is old fashion. I still like #15 for lift taking and the run you get. marge

    It looked like the skiers were jumping the lift lines! Great pix. And the oh how I miss thee....get in the back of the bus sister:) You will be up and about before next season.
