Breakfast Burritooooos!!

My friend Julie is up visiting for a week and while she was skiing this morning, I decided to take a drive to Lee Vining for a breakfast burrito.  During the summer, the Mono Market is a must stop for me to buy a burrito and juice before I head into the depths of Yosemite.
Mono Market in Lee Vining.  Does anyone know which movie
was filmed in Lee Vining where they had to "Paint The Town
Red"?

Yummmm!!!!

Then I drove up to a lookout to eat my burrito.

Then I drove back into Lee Vining Canyon (kinda freaky because it was really snowy and muddy in places...I was really really hoping I wasn't going to get stuck, but my Subaru pulled through!!)

I've taken pictures of these buildings before, in the fall, but I thought they looked really pretty with snow in the background.

  2. Hi Stace, great pictures. The movie was high plains drifter staring Clint Eastwood. I lived in LV then we spent time out at the set and got to meet the stars. Also watched them burn the whole town they had built. Another interesting thing, I think the house is Fillacino ranch. My husbands old family home.
    Luv ya,
    Vic

  5. Ok, take a step back. Way back. I think you have read the book Celestine Prophesy but your just not getting it. Take a step back. In your disabled moment - it has enabled you to do some pretty amazing things. You have created, what I and others have shared, an amazing photo journal. Do something with it - you have the 'god, damned expensive degree!' These are among my favs.
Please do something with all of this beautiful work. If you do in the next 3 months, I won't take the 10% I will charge you for thinking of it.
